Polygonial Viewport Won't Lock

Whenever I create a polygonial viewport, and rick click on the viewport to get the options to lock it, the option is not there. I have to create a rectangular viewport, lock it, and then use the viewport clip to edit the rectangle into a polygon. Then the viewport will be locked. I used to be able to create a polygonial viewport and lock it. I don't know what happened. I am using AUTOCAD 2015

Let me rephase my question:

When I create a polygonial viewport, I cannot lock it.

Can you lock the viewport any other way?

  + Select the viewport and click the lock/unlock icon in the status bar.

  + Select the viewport and change the "Display Locked" setting in Properties

Just as a test, make sure that _only_ the viewport is selected. When you select a non-rectangular viewport the polygon associated with it can be selected as well.

good point.  thats why i like using the properties box

I can lock it using the properties box.

I lost the ability to right click the viewport and lock/unlock from there.

Is PICKFIRST set to 1?

Sorry, tried that on a rectanglular viewport.

I am still not able to lock/unlock a polygonal viewport.

Hi,

have you done any customizations to your menu or have you had migrated settings from an older release of AutoCAD?

Are you speaking about AutoCAD or do you have a vertical product like Map3D, Civil3D, Architecture, ...?

 I figured it out (two weeks later)

The Selection Cycling must be turn off.
