Hi we recently just got a new antivirus. It is wanting to flag Point Processor Light.exe. I am trying to see if this is part of CAD or revit so that we can white list it or keep it blocked

its found under

"C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\RPX1CLLR.9W1\E24W1R7V.3TA\poin..tion_7a48d120b4e0fcd1_0001.0003_acaa89f7472b3e5b\Point Processor Light.exe"

Hi,

I have installed a lot of different AutoCAD releases and verticals, I also have installed Revit 2020 (but not with every add-on), however, searching for "*light.exe" does not show any file existing with that pattern on my system.

Hi,

>> I think this is an addon

Right-click this exe and look into the file properties. You should see the vendor and so get from them the info about needs to exclude that from AV-scanning.

Hi,

From which software vendor, I doubt that this is from Autodesk.

Hi,

may I ask what this link (showing how to create points in AutoCAD) has to do with lights or with your exe-file?

Sorry, is not clear to me...

HELP file? Why not look at the actual file in question and discover what it is instead?

Here is how you do that: Find the Point Processor Light.exe file listed in the path you listed, right-click on it, select PROPERTIES then click on the DETAILS tab and find out more about the program and Author. Let us know.
