HI All,

I am using AutoCAD 2016 on windows 10. When entering to Plotter Configuration Editor the text is not displayed in English and I can't use it (attached screenshot)

Tried to reinstall the AutoCAD but still occurs.

It worked in the past and suddenly was changed
Please advice

ThanksPlotter Configuration Manager.jpg

Hi @Anonymous,

It appears that you do switch OS languages on your computer. ENG (English) is selected in your screen shot.  What other languages do you have implemented?

If you remove the other languages does the problem go away?

Hi @Anonymous,

Please go to the Windows control panel>Programs and do a Repair on your AutoCAD 2016. Then perform a Reset Settings to Default. Lastly, check for hotfixes and updates for AutoCAD 2016  from your Autodesk Desktop App or from your account page.

If this behaves then go ahead and re-install the Hebrew.

Please add a post with your results.

It would be interesting to see if this problem arises if you install AutoCAD 2018 on your computer. (Only try this after you have 2016 working properly).

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you go through each of the steps in order?

  • Windows Control Panel>Programs - Repair
  • Reset Settings to Default
  • Install Hotfix 4
  • Install Service Pack 1

My _vernum is M.107.0.26 - please confirm yours by typing _vernum at the command line.

Does the text look like this for all the printers or just the DWG to PDF one? Are there any other dialog windows that are misbehaving like this?

If you go through the above steps and then enter Options>Display, select the Font button and try selecting a different font.

The text looks the same for all the printers

see attached for my local printer HP deskjet 4500

did the option->display step.

As you can see in the attached that when clicking Fonts, it has the same text looks

HI @Anonymous,

Can you try creating a new user on your computer (administrator) and log on with that account to see if the issue persists? (Just launch AutoCAD and dont configure or add anything to it.)

I am concerned that the hotfix gave you that error message. You are running 64-bit yes?

HI @Anonymous,

Can you send me a sample drawing file and a copy of your DWG to PDF  PC3 file? I want to see if it breaks on my computer too.

Hi @Anonymous,

At this point, I suggest you follow the steps carefully in this article for a Clean Uninstall of AutoCAD. Make sure that you run the FIXIT tool from Microsoft too.

Then, following the steps in this post about Installation Best Practices, please reinstall your AutoCAD and let me know the results.

Hi

I already reinstalled the AutoCAD (before asking in the forum)

I am afraid that this is not an AutoCAD issue but more a WINDOWS one.

I will do it again per your articles but i am not optimistic

Hi @Anonymous,

I am not convinced that this is an AutoCAD issue either but the clean uninstall should give us both a better idea. I kn ow it sounds tedious to go through this again but I imagine it wont actually be that involved and hope that it will return things to normal for you.
