Plot to PDF: Solid Transparency Issue

Some users are having an issue with solid hatch transparencies not plotting, even to a PDF.

The plot preview looks correct, by the transparencies are not being plotting.

Other users are not having any issues, all are using the same PC3 file and Pen Table.

Hi,

some questions ...

  • which version of AutoCAD?
  • which PDF-driver
  • does the same happen if no CTB is used
  • does the same happen when you use copy & paste to copy the geometry to a new drawing and plot from that new dwg-file?

AutoCAD 2018.  Doesn't matter which PC3 file or Pen Table.  But with my testing,  I have the same exact PC3 and Pen Table as the users with the issue.

I did notice one strange thing.

If I uncheck 'plot transparency' in the plot dialog, the transparent solid hatches still plot.

Hi,

if you can reproduce that issue then please use _ETRANSMIT to zip all files together and upload the ZIP so we can look into it (please describe which hatch we have to look to when plotted/which one is then missing).

No need to supply DWG's, this happens in brand new DWG's also for these users.

Hi,

>> this happens in brand new DWG's also for these users.

OK, then we have no option to recreate this issue.

If it is user-dependent then I would suggest to:

  • first erase their PC3- and PMP files as well as CTB and STB files and copy these files from a workstation/a user where all is doing well (I know that you read "all using the same files, but sometimes PMP are different, or permissions are different to access these folders and files)
  • second (if the prev. suggestion did not help) reset the settings to default as described >>>here<<<

Hi, we are having the exact same problem, did you fix it? And if you did, how?
