Plot to a printer is giving me strange results

Can anyone please help me with this issue? In the attached test drawing there is layout with one polyline in the paper space, with “Lineweight” =1.00 in layer properties. When I plot this layout to PDF, I do not see any issue, but when I plot the layout or the PDF at a printer, then I see a solid hatch as shown in the picture "A3 print with solid hatch". This happened when I plot on A3 paper. When I plot on A4, then I don’t have any issue. Also when I un-check the “Plot object lineweights” in plot options then also I don’t see the solid hatch but I don’t see the outline clearly.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Your PDF and your DWG file both print just fine to paper in a quick test to the nearest printer and plotter to me

Do you mean there is something wrong with the printer I used!!

I suspect so, perhaps a driver setting or something: the printer I test here is a Sharp MX series, the plotter is an HP T930 series.

Either way, there is nothing wrong with your DWG or PDF here.

Thanks @pendean.

I opened the PDF in "PDF-XChange viewer" insted of "Adobe Reader" and printed at the same printer then I do not see any issue, let me check few other drawings and see the results.

@janu319 interesting finding: thanks for sharing.

Any modern webbrowser can also be used as a very good PDF viewer too these days.

I also tried my printing, no problem.

Maybe it's a problem with your printer.

Thank you all for your time, our network team also confirmed that the problem is with the printer.

At least we have a work around, if the problem occurs to anyone in the future.
