I have made new layers in the layer properties manager that uses different line types and thicknesses to help distinguish from different elements. If I am read to print, and select monochrome as the plot style table, will my new layers that I have made print out to what I want them to look like ie. will they print to the specified line type and thickness that I have stated in the layers property manager?

Thanks

Sure.. just the color will change if the color is 1-255.

Why you asking?

That's what I was thinking too. I was just wondering if I needed to create a new .ctb file to specify the lines types and thicknesses for each color. So basically when you are in the "Form View" tab under "Plot Style Table Editor", and all of the pull down tabs say "Use Object .....", it will default to what I have in the layers properties manager?

Yes.

But for example "Monochrome", the COLOR ist not set to "from Object".

Note: Please do not edit Standard plotstyletables, if needed use your own plotstyletables.

>", it will default to what I have in the layers properties manager?"

It will default to what the OBJECT displays!

If the linetype is ByLayer.. then Yes, then the linetype from object layer will use.
