Plot Style Table drop-down list empty

Despite having a local folder of PSTs, and the Plot Style Table Search Path pointing at it (as confirmed by STYLESMANAGER), the drop-down list in the Plot dialogue window is empty (bar for that "Mono.ctb" one I just created as a quick workaround).  Any ideas what's up?

you can try this, selecting "Reset Application Options" in Application Preference and see if helps .thanks

Check and verify the path to your Plot Styles. You can check here:

Options=>Files Tab=>Printer Support file Path=>Plot Style Table Search Path

DWG files are set to be CTB or STB, never both: you simply are using a DWG file set to look for CTBs.

Look up CONVERTPSTYLES command in HELP and read up on the topic and fix.

Already checked that, as confirmed by STYLESMANAGER, which opens the target folder.

I am wanting to use CTBs, and since the target folder has a mixture of both CTBs and STBs, shouldn't the drop-down be showing a list of one type or the other?

Yes, can you please show 2 screenshots, one from starting command _OPTIONS ==> tab "Files" ==> follow screenshot

And a second screenshot showing Windows Explorer at the path (and showing the folders content) set in the above setting.

Alfred,

Screengrabs below.

You'll see the "Mono.ctb" workaround that I created Saturday, which is the only one showing in the list.

Hi,

you are accessing DropBox and the folder content is not synchronized with your local files (you can see the different icons, I'm even not sure if these icons show that the files were deleted, not a DropBox fan).

I strongly suggest to copy the content to a local folder and use the local folder in the AutoCAD settings.

Alfred, the folder is local, i.e. the 😧 is just a second drive.

Hi,

>> the folder is local

My guess ... it's a local folder that is used as cache for the DropBox drive ... but it is not synchronized.

Otherwise you would not see the sync-status in the icons.

If this sentence made no sense feel free to ask:
"DWG files are set to be CTB or STB, never both: you simply are using a DWG file set to look for CTBs."

And did you get a chance to try the fix to flip a file to the other plot style table work? here it is again:
"Look up CONVERTPSTYLES command in HELP and read up on the topic and fix."

I encountered this situation and discovered the DROPBOX had altered my files in such a way that AutoCAD could not recognised them.

I used STYLESMANAGEr to open the location of the PLOT STYLES.

I opened the plot style file in File explorer which takes me to the Plot Style Table Editor.

I saved the file to a temporary name.  Deleted the original and renamed the temporary file to the original file name.

This got rid of the grey X on the file ICON and allowed AutoCAD to see the file again.  PROBLEM SOLVED.

BAD DROPBOX.

AutoCAD cannot see files where the icon shown in FILE EXPLORER has a grey X.

@daa Your DROPBOX file versioning feature may also be interfering here, not much else. it is a common problem, DropBox support can help you if you wish to reach out to them.
