Plot Preview Issue - Plot preview will not generate

I am currently running AutoCAD 2017. I am attempting to plot a drawing layout using legacy hidden as the viewport shade plot setting. When I select a plot preview, the preview job progress bar pops up, but does actually progress. Instead, the preview hangs up and will not complete. I have to cancel the job and press escape to exit the progress bar screen. I have tested other shade plot settings, and it will show me a plot preview. I have plot previewed other files that have legacy hidden as the viewport shade plot setting and it will show me a plot preview. Is there any reason that a specific file would not work?

To better understand your issue, please provide your plotter settings. Take a screen shot like the image shown below.

Most likely, your issue is due to your plotter and plotter properties and not the 'viewport shade.'

I sent the file to a co-worker who said it took 30 minutes to generate the preview.
