Plot - Model dialogue - setting Printer/Plotter

We renamed the shared printers on the network recently. Since doing so when my CAD users go to print, they get the dialog box in the included screenshot. The users had the old printer name saved in the highlighted drop down. Since renaming the printers whenever they open an older drawing this has been reverted to "None" as you can see in the screenshot. I would like to see where this info is pulled from so I can update this to our new printer name.

I did a trace on a users machine and it seems to query the following registry key but changing that to the new printer name doesn't seem to populate the printer still.

HKU\S-1-5-21-606747145-179605362-725345543-4124\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.1\ACAD-D001:409\Profiles\Username\General\DefaultConfig

This is AutoCAD 2014 running on a Windows 7 x64 desktop machine

The old printer name was: Kyocera CS 6551ci KX - 1

The new one is: \\myserver\Kyocera - Front Office - Color

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Plotter/Printer names are stored in the DWG file in each tab of the DWG file: system changes are completely ignored. So when you changed names of the printers the DWG file tells AutoCAD there is no printer available, so you get NONE.

There is nothing in the WIndows Registry to fix: it's a file setting.

Your AutoCAD users will need to create custom LISP or macros or recreate their template pagesetups and import them for a while until this problem slowly disappears.

FWIW renaming printer and plotters is a terrible idea for AutoCAD users although I appreciate you moving away from brand names to location names so in the future when you replace those printers you will not have this problem again.
