planesurf and convtosurface command not working

No aplicable

Hi,

I'm relatively new to using AutoCAD 2017 and I'm having some issues using the planesurf and convtosurface commands to create a surface. Attached is my .dwg file with the closed lines that I am trying to create a surface with. What seems to be the problem?

Hi,

when you start command _PLANESURF you'll get that message:

Cannot convert a self-intersecting curve.

Then look to the polyline, vertex 342 to 347 and you'll see these segments are doubled.

You can also see that on the "+" signs at the segments.

Clean them and it should work.

Good luck, - alfred -

Hi @Anonymous,

I used OVERKILL on your outline and also ran AUDIT.

I verified your outline was closed and clean by running BOUNDARY. Once I was able to get a clean Boundary I was then able to CONVtoSURF.
