pick object, command, selection gone, pick object again

Hi,

I have a new Problem:

I select some objects, then I try to copy them or another command.

The selection is cancelled and in the command line I am asked "pick object", so that I have to pick the objects again.

If you use a command like "pick similar", you cant't work with this selection, because if you try to do something with this selction - like copy - the selection is gone.

Perhaps the words are different in english, because I know only the german words and I tried to translate them.

What I tried since now: I read all system-variables from a properly working Station and put them into mine (command SYSVDLG) - without success. So I think, the problem can not be solved by changing System variables. The variables PICKFIRST and PICKADD have Nothing to do with the problem. I tried every possible value.

any idea, what could help?

Go to OPTIONS and select NOUN/VERB Selection(This is just the graphical representation of PICKFIRST).

Is this a general Autocad behavior or Just a specific file?

Can you post a screenshot of the Selection tab in Options.

If your Autocad is not updated to the latest version. Click HERE and download the latest updates

If that doesn't work, Check the Value of QAFLAGS it should be kept 0 (Restart Autocad)

Reference Post : PICKFIRST is set to 1 but AutoCAD is ignoring it!

QAFLAGS : Some detail on the sysvar

Dear S.Faris,

QAFLAGS was =1. To set ist =0 was the solution.

Thank you very much !

You cannot imagine how I feel now … gorgeous.

greetings, Lutz

Hi,

I have a smilar problem, but can't found solution, and solutions that i read ddon't work.

So i pick some objects then use command move by writing it in console command - its ok, i still have my object selected. But when i use shortcut for command move (SHIFT + right mouse button) then i lost my selection.

I tried use different macro in shortuct using p as previous selection but it doesn't work. Also have good value for PICKFIRST and QAFLAG.

Hi,

>>" when i use shortcut for command move (SHIFT + right mouse button) then i lost my selection."

I guess you want to open the osnap context menu while in move* command?

*move for example for any other command who's asking for a point.

What are your settings here:

Command: OPTIONS -> User Preferences -> Windows Standard Behavior

and here

[Right-Click Customization..]

Please share Screenshots to show your settings, thx.
