pen widths not plotting

our plot is not using our desired plot style (pen widths) for line work specifically... the screeening on the text seems to be coming in.. but all linework is the same, regardless of line type.... all linetypes coming in at same width....   where should i check first?

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

Can you eTransmit a sample file so I can take a look? Are you sure that the CTB file is getting applied?

Attach your etransmit so I can take a quick look for you.

U want a copy of the ctb? Or the cad dwg? If it's the cad .. .i'll give you 2.. the one that it seemed to be working with on wed. and the one that we can't get it right with.... Hint: we are also having some random linework show up as color on the plot preview...

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

Yes, I want both and an eTransmit should bundle it up with fonts too.

HI @TECHSERVICES,

Are you not using any plot styles then in your print jobs? If so, i see that acad.ctb is applied in your drawings. You should select None. If you do use plot styles have you modified the acad.ctb to reflect your lineweights? If so, I need to see the file please.

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

I apologize. I certainly don't want to confuse you but just the opposite. The file I need is the the one that displays in the Plot STyle table in the plot windows.

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

Yes, that format is not allowed for upload without putting it in a ZIP file first (which is what the eTransmit does for you FYI).

Please give it another go so I can resolve this for you.

Are you able to zip up a CTB file for me? I would like to get your problem resolved.

@TECHSERVICES, You're plotting a layout tab, but you have "Scale Lineweights" checked in the "Plot Scale" section of the plot dialog, while you are not plotting at scale 1:1. Try turning off (uncheck) "Scale Lineweights" and see if that helps.

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

I applied the Selkirk CTB to your Pittsburg file and the lineweights came out fine. Originally, when I opened the Page Setup (11x17) it was looking for a non-present CTB. I used the Selkirk.CTB

Capture.PNG

I then tried it again using the COS CTB and while the results are different, I still saw the lineweights.

In your Pagesetups, it is not necessary to have the Plot Object Lineweights selected as they are being set by your CTB files.

i go into page set up.. uncheck the plot lineweights as suggested.. the preview seems good.  save, go into plot, and the preview does not give me line weights...   thanks for trying john, but something else is happening here... i can't see it.

Hi @TECHSERVICES,

If you logon as a different (new) user to your computer is this still the same behavior? If so, you might try a Reset Settings to Default to see if this corrects the issue. You might experiment with the builtin PDF drivers to see if there is a different result with each one.
