PDFSHX command not working

Our state fire marshall has complained about the SHX boxes showing up in some of our PDFs. That's easily resolved with the PDFSHX command except one person's machine does not recognize it. Instead, it reverts to the PDFSHXTEXT command, which is completely different. What has caused this and is there any way to get the PDFSHX command working again? Thanks.

There are a couple of notes here:

- In AutoCAD 2016 SP1, this system variable is named EPDFSHX

- Generally the command prompt favors the most used command in auto completion, so if used the PDFSHXTEXT more, the auto complete is most likely to present it first, so you would need not to press enter directly and use the arrows to get the required system variable (PDFSHX) in stead of the command (PDFSHXTEXT)

- You can use the SETVAR command first (or SYSVDLG for a GUI), and then enter the PDFSHX system variable and change it's name..

This worked on most machines for 2018, but one says EPDFSHX is an unknown command. Not sure what to do about that particular one.

On this system please start AutoCAD, start command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot from this dialog.

@MRM4TN EPDFSHX is the old command name, PDFSHX is the newer name, but it also did not exist in older versions of AutoCAD an those that are not fully updated to get either of those commands.

So first thing you need to check is the updates installed in the 2018s that it worked in vs the 2018s it did not work in using ABOUT command in each.
