PDF to DWG - Annotation Error

I have found many posts showing how to change a PDF to DWG using Adobe Illustrator and these seem to work fine. However, I have an issue that I cannot seem to find an answer for. The PDF that I am trying to change to a DWG file has multiple points on it. When the file is converted to an AutoCAD accepted file it saves all of these points as exclamation marks or text files. The end goal is then to take this DWG file and save it as a SHP file for use in ArcMap.

Converting a PDF to DWG is an inexact science, especially if there is text involved (which I'm guessing may be the case with these "points"). Furthermore, the vector data in the PDF is not the same quality as it was originally in CAD. Precision will probably be lost.

Can you post the PDF here so someone else can try and possibly come up with a workaround or solution for you?
