When I copy 2mm text from one paperspace text block and paste it onto a leader text block on a different paperspace sheet in the same dwg file, it pastes in at 1.6mm.

Any idea why this is or how to ensure the pasted text pastes at the same size as the original text? It is a real pain in the butt having to paste and then resize immediately every single time I copy and paste text from my spec to my annotations.  :cara_asombrada:

Can you post the drawing so we can have a look at it?

Sure,  I have attached a file with 2 tabs. one with text to copy and one with text to paste.  both texts are size 2, but when you copy from one and overwrite paaste the other, it pastes at size 1.6

hope you can help.

Yep spotted the problem.

If you look at the properties of the text in the first tab you will see the text height is set at 2.5

If you also look at the text contents near the beginning it says "{\H0.8x" This is because the text size in the text has been manually set to 2 which is .8 of 2.5

Now since you are selecting all the text you are copying the .8 part which is why your text is pasting at 1.6

What you need to do is manually go into the text select it all and change the text height to 2.5. Then you can change the height back to 2 in properties.
