Overkill command not working

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have AutoCAD 2013 and the overkill command recognizes the overlapping objects when I select it, but doesn't erase any of them. It says '0 overlapping objects deleted' when actually there are 11 to delete. I tried to set the tolerance to 0.0, then back to 0.000001, checked boxes, unchecked again, and nothing seems to work :{

Can anybody help me?!

Thanks

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums

Could you upload a sample drawing and specify how many overlapping object there are that aren't being deleted?

Show us the overkill pop-up and your shows there: the command only does what you tell it to do and the overlaps have to be 100% identical with no X, Y or Z differences with just the basic choices.

Hello! Here are some images showing what is happening. There is a rectangle with tree rectangles inside fitting it perfectly, so the axis y and x of the lines are superposed.  In the first image, the itens I want to overkill and a red arrow showing the rectangles that are superposed copied to the side so you can see what is overlapped in that drawing. In the second image, the overkill window and in the third you can see in the status bar that overkill didnt eliminate any overlapping objects. Then, in the fourth image its shown the "result", I copied again to the other side of the drawing the elements that are still overlapping.

I appreciate any help.

What settings do you have selected in the OVERKILL pop-up? Accepting the default is not always the solution

If you have attached any image in the drawing overkill will not work. Try creating a new file and crtl-copy the elements you are interested to, and PASTEORIG these entities. Execute the OVERKILL command in the new file (it will work) and copy back with PASTEORIG in the old file.  You may lose some dimension alineations.

Wrong.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
