Ortho not working using F8 function key (problem sovled)

This is for information only if some other users encounter the same problem with using the F8 function key.

Situation: I just installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 on my PC and reinstalled my programs (including ACAD 2015). Well, I quickly discovered that every time I hit the F8 key to turn on/off Ortho, my cursor crosshairs would change to a magnifier circle and the frame around Model Space would turn orange in color. (and Ortho would not work) Only way out was to hit ESC. I could use Ortho but only if I selected it at the bottom in CAD's system tray (icon row). 

Here was the problem. I have MOVAVI screen capture app installed and running in the background at system Startup. I found this out after the MOVAVI screen capture opened after repeatedly hitting F8. Closing the application returned the function key F8 while working in Model Space. Problem finally solved.

I have a desktop computer running Windows 10, Autocad 2024 and the Movavi screen capture program.

After running Movavi the Autocad F8 and F9 keys do not function as expected.

Here is a solution that works for me:-

- Activate Movavi

-  Click the settings icon on the Movavi control tab

-  Select Keyboard Shortcuts

-  At the botom of that window select "Disable keyboard shortcuts"

-  Select OK

The next time you open Movavi it should not take-over the F8 or F9 keys.

Voila!
