Open different DWG files in the same AutoCAD2015

Hi,

I'm trying to open different DWG files and it is always opened in a new AutoCAD software and not in the same I had previously opened with different tap.

I don't know why I can't use Autocad DWG launcher to open each file.

AutoCAD 2015 is installed in G: and not partition C: where files are. I'm not sure if this can be the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Jaume

Suggestion 1:  Use the OPEN command in AutoCAD to open DWG files

Suggestion 2: rather than click on a dwg name in Explorer, drag the file to either the AutoCAD desktop icon (to open in a new session) or onto the AutoCAD command line (to open as a new dwg in the current session)

One thing you can do is to remove the filetype association for opening .DWG files when double-clicking in something like Windows Explorer.  It will vary somewhat with your operating system, but you should be able to right-click on a file name, choose Open with and possibly go a level further down with something like Choose default program, and un-check the button that says something like "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."  Then, with no program associated with .DWG files, every time you double-click on one, it should ask you what program you want to open it with, and you can choose the version of AutoCAD you want to use -- make sure that "Always use..." button is un-checked every time.
