only show selection in viewport

With the base view command it's possible to select objects in model space that you want to show in paper space. Problem is this works only with particular entities, like solids. Is something similar possible in a standard viewport, without working with specific layers?

I made a bunch of 3D dynamic blocks for walls, doors, etc. to assamble floor plans and elevations. All parts of the blocks are placed in a layer starting 1 (floorplan) or 2 (elevations). The floor plan is no problem, creating a viewport and turn all layers, strating with 2, off. If I want to have a wall view from every wall I need to create a layer for every single wall. With 3 walls that's fun, but with 30 walls that's no joke.

The 3D dyn blocks contain lines, plines and 3Dfaces. I use 3Dfaces instead of solids, because I can stretch them.

Any options?

Follow established CAD best practices. It sounds like you are reinventing the wheel.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Since you have 3D objects like Faces you could try selecting the pspace vport property to show as hidden line on.
