OLE IMAGE OBJECT NOT SHOWING OR PLOTTING, NOT CORRUPT, RE-ADD IMAGES NOT VIABLE

some ole image are not showing properly and are only showing a white box, is not corrupt as other are able to view the files and the ole images show correctly, tried reinstalling, changing plot/printer settings, changing display settings, hardware acceleration settings, reinstalling graphics drivers with clean install. adding images again is not viable due to adding another error point, wasted time, and collaboration arrangements. of note is the properties of the ole images not showing, under misc, the type property is static for me but embedded for those that can see the OLE images. I am unsure if this is a cad issue or a computer issue. my current drawings have just added the images again to get the drawings out, but needs to be solved properly for future. any suggestions? I'm definitely not stressed no not at all.

Questions:

1. What version of AutoCAD are you running?

2. Do you have the latest AutoCAD updates installed?

3. Have you tried creating a new Windows profile and sign in to that profile, launch AutoCAD opening that drawing to see if the OLE images would then show up?

You may want to involve your IT department to help you troubleshoot the issue by creating a new Windows profile that has local admin rights to see if this can be resolved. Also does the same problem occur when you run vanilla AutoCAD 2023 and not Civil3d?

Hi Paul,
My account is local admin, so that shouldn't be a problem I think, and yes, the same problem occurs with just AutoCAD 2023

This is just for a test in case your current windows profile account got corrupted. Creating another local admin account on the same computer is the best bet to eliminate the possibility of corruption with your current login profile. Since your OP states that others in your office using their computers do not encounter this problem, there must be something on your computer that is causing this.

Another item to test is to run AutoCAD in safemode without any add-ons to see if the problem is gone.

Hi Liam.

Something similar happened to me. I had the UCS in another position that was not correct. I just oriented the UCS to its original position and it was fixed.
