Offset Command acting like copy

it is not happening every time but some time when I am initiating offset command it is not working as it should and the selected object is moving the crosshair as it is previewing copy command.

Hi,

 

I don't see anything strange in the command line which could be causing the issue. Please use the free tool SCREENCAST to record your screen and share it so that we can see what is happening at your end🙂

it's sounds that it's Through option behavior , isn't it ?  

Command: OFFSET

Current settings: Erase source=No Layer=Source OFFSETGAPTYPE=0
Specify offset distance or [Through/Erase/Layer] <Through>:

That can't be the issue -- enlarging their image, they have a distance set:

But @Anonymous , you say "the selected object is moving the crosshair," but according to the prompt there, there is no selected object yet.  Some more explanation [or the requested screencast, or something] would be in order.

Yes, nothing was select according the snap. but after object selection it is behaving like through option.

and Offset command is showing only undo and exit keyword (see in snap.)
