Objects disappear in viewport when selecting view from viewcube

We're having a bizarre issue with all our drawings lately.  All of which started nearly at the beginning on June and has since affected all our working files (backups and all). The problem...

when we open a file as we last saved it, it looks as if all components/objects/layers are there and visible as before (01.jpg). we can turn on/off layers and rotate around with 3dorbit and everything is there (02.jpg; 01.jpg without pointcloud). Then if we choose a predefined view, either via viewcube or drop down everyting disappears from view (03.jpg) but it's still 'there'... doing a select all selects everything including the non-displaying objects.

anybody seen this before? we're at a loss of what to do as we're burning daylight on trying to figure it out.

it's an office wide issue...all systems have the following minimum specs and behaviors...

windows 10 x64

32gb+ ram

nvida geforce or quadro cards with latest drivers and 4gb+ ram

3.0ghz+ cpus

mix of ssd's and hdd's for os drives

files are either local or on networked file server (so location isn't the problem)

no files have xref's except for the pointclouds (which load fine initially)

drawings are at or very near zero

workspace layout is different as per user and all have same issue

affected layers are not frozen in NewVP properties

Hello @CRAengineer,

Review the settings within the GRAPHICSCONFIG. Then make sure all your drivers are up-to-date and supported.

Also, try different views such as realistic and conceptual views.

If its a recent change and its system wide there may have been an update pushed (windows or video card or CAD etc. ) . I would find out what it was and roll it back.

@wispoxy

happens in any view... realistic, conceptual, shaded etc.

GRAPHICSCONFIG is at default on most systems but some have asome minor differences and the issue is there anyhow.

@TheCADnoob

went through the recent updates and tried to uninstall what we could an still have not had any luck.  rolling back the video drivers hasn't had any success either.

Hi @CRAengineer,

This thread was just auto-escalated and came to my attention.  I am unable to duplicate this issue on my workstation.

Has your issue been resolved or do you still need assistance?

Please update your status in a post.

unfortunately i'm not sure if issue still persists with that file anymore.  that case has settled and the files have been archived or deleted as i no longer have access to them.

thanks for following up.
