Object Snap Overrule - no snap on locked Layers

Hi all,

I need an overrule that allows me to not snaps on object in a locked layer.

I researched through autodesk forums and i found this one:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/net/can-not-snap-locked-layers/td-p/3454804
but it is outdated.

Following the thread i came across this website that apparently have updated the override to Autocad 2018:
https://cadxp.com/topic/38718-d%C3%A9sactiver-les-accrochages-2-le-retour/

i am using Autocad 2022 now and i wonder if anyone knows how to make something similar that works on the latest version of Autocad.

I would prefer that we can decide that in the layers palette. That would be a terific idea, to me.

This last program by my friend (gile) would need an update.

PDFOSNAP to 0 and the replacement of your all set of locked layers by a PDF could help to do as if....

In my ideal world, there would be a sysvar

LOCKLAYER

0 current behavior, selectable and snappable

1 unselectable (default)

2 unsnappable

3 unselectable and unsnappable

In the Layer Properties Manager would be another column [Snap]

Hi,

Update: LockOsnap.zip now contains an installer (LockOsnapSetup.msi) and works for all AutoCAD versions (vanilla and vertical) from 2013.

Do not forget to "unblock" the zip before extracting the installer.

Use at your own risks, deactivating osnaps may slow down AutoCAD performances.

Installed the program it works great!
but given the big project size i'm working on it makes everything lag a lot!

I will definitely use it for smaller projects.

commands for locked layers:
LOKO -> activates it
LOKO (again) -> deactivates it

commands for xref:
XROS -> activates it
XROS (again) -> deactivates it
