Object Enablers & Proxy Entities

I am trying to view and use my Civil Engineer's topo drawing (saved as ACAD 18), but am unable to see any of the grading contours or the trees.  They show up as boxes, large and small, with tiny text. 

A proxy Information box pops up saying the there are custom objects created by an unavailable ObjectARX application and that I need to visit the auto CAD Object Enabler Assistant to locate and download object enablers...which I did, but to no avail.

You installed the Civil3D  objectenabler?

but you can't see what you want?

Pls share the DWG and a Screenshot from coworker Civil3d(where we can see what you are missing)

The civil drawing was saved as an AutoCAD 18 .dwg.  I have AutoCAD 23 and so I downloaded the enablers for AutoCAD 23.  I had read through the Autodesk help that i was to download the enablers for the software that I was opening the file up with.  Maybe this is wrong?  Thank you.

If the demandload is set well (3) : The Civil3D ObjectEnabler 2023 is not installed on your system.
