im currently doing some architectural work and some people have created new linetypes example for gas line which consists of dashed lines with the word gas in between them. i would like t created new ones for water and sewer line.i see that these linetypes are added to acad.lin buti would think you have to create these linetypes in a dwg for the template?

please advise on the proceedure. i see some ways on help , but i would think you still have to create it

any help would be appreciated

Any linetypes you create in a DWG drawing will be available (without loading from a .LIN file) in that drawing plus in any new drawings created with that drawing set as a template (DWT). You can also create textual linetypes on-the-fly with the LTfly freeware add-on.

This video should explain how to do what you are trying to do.

Not applicable

Mouse Righ click on the Any Tabs and then Get Show tabs.

Then You can find Express tools.

However, If there is no Express tools, You need to install it during CAD installing.

See this Link.

I learned about creating Linetype myself from here.

I could understand it easily.
