need help with lines over lines

ok so there are times when i will get drawings from clients and they will have several types of lines on top of eachother. for example, lets saying there is a drawing that has 100 lines and it has been copied onto itself 25 times. when you bring something to the front, it puts it on top of all the other lines onto the top "plane". lets call this "plane A". is there any way for me to select all the lines that have been brought to the front that are on "Plane A"? i have tried to join the lines but more often than not, certain lines will connect to other ones out of order... any suggestions?

Other then being on top, is there anyway to single these lines out ie. linetype, color, layer?

Hi @Anonymous,

I used to see those nasty drawings too! One of my favorite tools is the OVERKILL command. Give that a try and let me know if it does what you are trying to accomplish.

OVERKILL (Command)
