Need Help! Looks 3D from a 2D Image

Last year I created a design for a sign using a xrefed image, I took a 2D photo and was able to use a tool in order to create a 3D perspective.

Only problem is I forgot how I did it, and cant find the help video or forum that helped me last year.

Im using AutoCAD 3D, but only really use 2D. I created this in the 2D Modelspace

Please let me know if you need any more info, ill try to remember what I can

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Click on below image to see how by drawing a 3d solid object you can use it to paste your attached xref on it.

A tool ?

Did you use a UCS command to align the work plane on something in 3D ? You did put the image on this plane.

(Did you use a volume, is that a step where you need help ?)

And then, back to the world system, you drew over the shapes ? With reputated as planar 2D polylines ?

Or did you FLATTEN* things (autocad things like lines, splines....) ?

*name of a command that projects objects pretty well on some workplane.
