Named plot styles

Not sure if I'm missing something.

We recently switched to named plot styles.  If I have an object on a layer with a name plot style black_0.2mm and the object style is set to by layer.  If I change the colour to red in the properties dialog but leave the object as by layer style (black_0.2mm), it no longer plots black _0.2mm but instead plots red that I changed it to.

Is that supposed to happen?

Thats not possible if you plot with *.stb plotstyle and the plotstyle "black_0.2mm" is available.

Share a simple sample.dwg + stb file (please)

And let us testing with simple acad objects (circle, Line), thanks.

Hi @cadffm

Thanks for your reply.  I managed to find the problem, I was x-refing it into a sheet file and then changing all the layers to style grey_0.1mm to colour it all grey (with the grey colour set in the sheet file), forgetting the object had been changed to red but the object being by layer rather than changing it from by layer to manually being black_0.2mm.  So it was changing everything to grey_0.1mm but the colour was staying as the object red rather than the grey set in the sheet file.  (hope that makes sense!)
