Something wrong here...
I have my AutoCAD 2004 here. I bought it in 2004 when I was a student for $2,400.00 but I haven't used it in a long time.
I loaded it up in my desk top with my Windows 7 and used it and printed from it a small and simple plan of something I am doing here around the house.
But... a few days later I looked for my AutoCAD and it disappeared from my computer altogether...!!!
What's up with that...? Do I have to pay for AutoCAD service now as a subscription now...?

Hi @Anonymous,
There is nothing in AutoCAD that would have it remove itself from your system. I suggest that you do a search on your system to see if you accidentally dragged it into another folder. Then, if you have no luck, resort to bringing it back from a backup or a restore point.
If you still don't have luck, let me know and I can move this thread to the Installation and Licensing forum where they might be able to find your old license.

Okay gentlemen, thank you. I am up and running again...!
It seems that my ac1st16.dll file was either missing or corrupted somehow.
I will soon see if the same thing happens again or not as I have no idea why it happened like that in the first place. You tell me if you have anything to add to this and I will understand it better...
Be forewarned, you might run into issues running it on Windows 7.
HI @Anonymous,
AutoCAD 2004 was not designed to run in that operating system but it might work OK in compatibility mode. Here are the system requirements for AutoCAD 2004.
