Hello,

I have some troubles with a .wmf export.

When i create the .wmf file, it is too large to be operated in my surveillance software.

They aren't xref or other problematic items.

Could you help me?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

>> When i create the .wmf file, it is too large to be operated in my surveillance software.

Please, can you give us a bit more details?

What is large? Is it a file-size or a number of vectors, or ...?

Which software product is your "surveillance software" and what is the maximum size of ?? that software can import.

Is it really true that you exchange CAD data by WMF? Isn't there a more accurate file type possible to send your geometry?

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Does your surveillance software accept PNG format? That might reduce the size for you. Here is an article on plotting raster formats but you can even use the Windows Snipping tool to grab your AutoCAD drawing screen and it will save as PNG by default.
