Multiple origin points

Hi

Is it possible to create more than one origin in autocad

I need this because, if i draw a rectangle using origin as a base and we run the dwg through the 3rd party tool

This tool creates this rectangle as a block and origin will be taken as base point

Now if I create two rectangles and run through the tool, it takes only one base point which is the origin.

But I need 2 base points

Thanks

HI,

as much as i understand your issue ... You can use point parameter in block authoring palette to add invisible insertion points. When you insert a block, you can easily switch between insertion points by pressing CTRL key.

The tip above is described here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dynamic-blocks-forum/add-grip-points/m-p/5014696#M16652

OR... while using INSERT command simply type B then <enter> and manually select another point in the block to use as the base point. It helps if you have running osnaps.
