Hi

I was able to create the multileader with a block but I can't get the text next to it to be editable if I make part of the block is there another way that I can have the multileader with the box and the text next yo it to be one ? I included an image and the text with the red cloud is what I need to be able to edit.

Any ideas?

Hi,

mtext inside a block cannot be edited normally and also when you use it in multileader. You need to create an attribute inside the block and use this block for the multileader to make it editable. See attachment.

Hi,

if your source block is a user block then you have to make it as an attribute by ATTDEF command . finish your attribute and place it where ever your need . convert the box and the attribute to a block and make your insertion from where the mleader will attached with . see attached CAD dwg

Very close to what I need, I need to have multiple text lines and that the text on the side is the same size as the one inside the box and also when moving around the label the text ends on top of leader line...

Yes you can . as much as you make attributes , those cells will be active .  OR while you're making attribute select Multiple Lines option . see below image .

I'll give it a try! also when you add the attribute can you set a distance with the box to avoid having overlapping text ?

Hi,

You could create a multiline attribute for the left side one and can enter the value just like mtext. But it's not possible to have the attribute text on the left to flip when the arrow is moved to either direction. Instead, you could place the attribute text on the top of the block or below so that it doesn't interfere with the arrow. See attachment.

Hi,

I guess the attribute justification is set to "center" that's why it could be overlapping. Can you check the justification of the attribute? Click on the attribute and then press ctrl+1 for properties and then check the justification and set it to top left. If it doesn't help then please attach the drawing so that we can see why it's happening🙂

Any changes to be made in the attribute you need to go into the block editor. Type in the command "BEDIT" and then choose the block which you have used in the multileader then click on ok. now edit the justification of the attribute inside the block editor and save changes. These changes will be reflected in the multileader.

Hi,

Are you sure that the block which you edited and the block used in the multileader are the same? Can you try to draw a multileader again with the same block name and then see it gets corrected in the new multileader. Also, Try posting you drawing file so that we can check it out from our end as well🙂

The idea is before convert your attribute to block is to prepare and finish your text justification from Justify option in properties palette .

your  MLEADERSTYLE # 1  is ok .  the space in the box is just for 3 digits or characters , if more it will go out . if it's not clear please don't hesitate to ask and more specifically . 🙂

Hi,

The maximum number which can fit inside the box is 3. If you enter more than 3 then it would overlap with the other attributes. If you want to enter more than 3 digits then try to make the box as a rectangle so that you can enter more digits.

Look in to using BATTMAN (Block Attribute manager) to adjust blocks after they are created. The sync button apllies the changes to all instances of the block in the current drawing.

Also I attached 3 example dynamic blocks with adjustable frames for use with qleaders, using QLATTACH to associated leaders to the block. Not as convenient as multileaders but more workable for adaptable text frames.

The last block has the leader as part of the block to act more like a multileader.

Hope these help you create what you need.
