Is there any documentation about the mtext formatting codes \pt and \pxt  (and a list of all the formatting codes)?

I have codes like:

\pt0.24,17;

\pxt0.24,17;

that remains hard for me to understand.

These are tab distances (1st tab in 0.24, 2nd in 17) in different units. Once in centimeters, the second in inches.

(text size is the same, just different zoom)
