MText Auto Width

Hi,

I am having a problem with my MText and Leaders.

I recently upgarded to AutoCAD LT 2015 and have noticed that when I create MText objects or leaders the text box no longer auto adjusts to fit the text. I have to manually make the box longer.

Does anyone know if there is a setting to enable this? Was never aware of any setting and was never an issue in 2012 I was using before. In 2012 LT the text box would increase in width as I typed. I would manually adjusat height if needed.

Thanks.

No, it isn't annotative. Doesn't seem to make any difference if its annotative or not.

Nothing has changed betwen the versions you noted: are you somehow setting the width (by drawing the MTEXT box for example) that you used to not do beforehand? It sounds like you want the zero width setting.

Thanks Pendean,

I'm not predefining a textbox size. It is more obvious when drawing leaders. The textbox size is default to 0 width and stays at 0 width unless I drag it to fit the text. See attached image.

Might it be worth re-installing?

Regards.

Might be worth 'resetting' AutoAD instead of reinstalling. Nothing is different in MTEXT or MLEADER in the newer versions so something else is going on I suspect but not sure what.
