Hi Guys

I've recently started using CAD again after along time away from it and wondered if anyone can help me out with a very simple but frustrating problem. Im drawing pipework onto an architects layout but the building is drawn in such a way that his layers are sitting infront of my pipework. How can i set it so my pipework sits in front of everything else ?

Can anyone help asap.

As i am new to it after many years could do with a bit of an idiots guide

Welcome to the Forums

Very simple. There are two ways to do it

1. Select all your objects. RIGHT CLICK. Choose DRAW ORDER and then choose BRING TO FRONT

2. Select all his objects. RIGHT CLICK. Choose DRAW ORDER and then choose SEND TO BACK

Select the objects you what to bring forward or back. Right click > Draw Order.  You can also find Draw Order on the Home Tab > Modify.

There is a Draw Order Manager is Civil 3D, but I can't find one in vanilla AutoCAD.

No 'manager' in plain AutoCAD, just a command pulldown you can type or select from a toolbar or the Ribbon or QAT.
