Hi,
>> virtual box 8.1
Which version do you really have, because 5.2 is the current version, I don't know 8.1
At least for virtual systems it's normal to not have the full performance, but in case you gave the VirtualBox enough memory and you reduced the services within your Windows inside the VirtualBox it should be able to draw small to mid sizes drawing (2D, 3D is a bit difficult as the VirtualBox does not offer that much power and functionality to enable hardware acceleration).
I'm also asking why you use a virtual system when you can have a Mac-version of AutoCAD (yes, I know it has some limits, ... are they important for you?)

Hi,

No problem, but for using virtual system you need to know a bit about the configuration or you need to know someone who knows a bit ... 😉
But lets start with the question: why don't you use the Mac version of AutoCAD?

Hi,

As long as your colleagues use AutoCAD 2017 or older and they don't use apps on top of AutoCAD you don't have any issues with the file format or functionality.
If you need the VirtualBox then make sure it's set to use
min 2 processor kernals
min 4GB memory (if you need to work with big drawing then also set the memory to a higher value)
Also important with VirtualBox: when you start AutoCAD the first time after starting the VirtualBox, let it work for a few minutes. It seems to be taking memory step-by-step and that first start after boot takes long time. But then it should work better, also after the first start closing and restarting AutoCAD should not be an issue, it's really the first start after booting the VirtualBox.
