Mouse cursor Jumping in autocad

Hello everyone.

I am having a wierd issue with my mouse after i switch from a 1920x1080p monitor to a 3840x1080.

The new monitor is a: Samsung 49CHG90

My mouse is behaving like it lags but thats not the case. I tried setting the variables like shown is some posts here but that is not the case.

I tried to make a quick video about it so you guys/girls understand.

Bear in mind i am not totally educated into autocad so if you have an explanation or how to fix this issue please help me out.

Dosent matter if i use 2d Wireframe or anything.

Have a nice day.

Hi,

>> issue with my mouse after i switch from a 1920x1080p

>> monitor to a 3840x1080

And if you switch back to 1920x1080 ... all solved?

Can you please start command _GRAPHICSCONFIG and so us a screenshot from that dialog?

Hi,

>> Problem still exist if i change down the resolution on the screen

So it is not depending on the resolution (I assume you have restarted AutoCAD after you changed the display adapter's resolution). BTW: have you tested this with the same dwg-file?

You might try within the _GRAPHICSCONFIG dialog to click on "Restore Defaults" (lower left), then restart AutoCAD.

And it may sound silly, but make your crosshair smaller, sometimes it helps 😉

I have tried smaller crosshair.

Also resetted to default but nothing is working.

Does the screens refresh rate make anything or what mouse i am using?

Feels like i tried lots os possible solution but so far nothing worked.

The only program that have this issue is autocad rest of my similar programs works like a charm.

Hi,

for me the first input "changed to a higher resolution" made sense, as the graphic card then needs more memory.

But turning the resolution back should then solve the issue. As it does not get the performance back there seems to be a different modification done to your hardware/drivers/operating system too ... are you aware of any changes?

One question is open ... did you compare the mouse speed with the same drawing?

I found the solution:D

It had to do with my mouse settings.

The poolingrate of my mouse was at 1000. Lowered it to 125 and now it works like a charm.

Wierd thing to be the problem but will try investigate some in this issue.

Poolingrate is how often mouse reportsback where it is.

But wierd that it has anything with the issue 😄 and only AutoCad had the issue.

If someone can explain why this was so importat with mouse poolingrate please do i can't.

Thanks for all the help.

Hi,

great you found it and reported it back!

>> The poolingrate of my mouse was at 1000. Lowered it to 125

Would you mind to show us a screenshot so we can see which mouse you are using and where to modify this setting?

>> If someone can explain why this was so importat with mouse

>> poolingrate please do i can't.

Well, I don't know that, but could imagine what happens ... each movement of the mouse and so the crosshair means AutoCAD has to look at the position of the mouse if there exists an object at that location (to highlight the object) or if there exist multiple objects at that location (to show the SELECTIONCYCLING icon) and a lot more test are done.

When you now tell AutoCAD to select objects 1000 times a second means it blocks the mouse as it can't select that fast ... however, with 125 seconds AutoCAD has enough time to get the selection and proceed.

...just to make sure ... that are just thoughts, not knowing this!

I am using a Razer Basilisk mouse it comes with a program called Razer Synapse

I posted an image where to find and change pooling rate of the mouse in Razer Synapse.

I hope this can help someone else that will bump into this issue.

And thank you alot for your help in trying to find the solution.
