MODIFY ARCTEXT

I am using Autocad 2015 and am trying to work with arctext, though seem to be unable to preview the result before exiting the dialog. This is a problem because I am unable to edit and refine the result. Am I missing a way to edit the arctext? There also seems to be some inconsistency in the space between the letters.

Here is the arctext I am working with:

If your ARC is too short for the text height you have chosen, what you see happens.

In your file it looks like your ARIAL font's 48" height being changed to 12"-14" (or less) eliminates the issue, going any higher it starts to creep back in.

You could always use better free 3rd party variants of that old tool to see if they do it any better
