Modeling Operation Error 75015

Hello, I get a "Modeling Operation Error: 75015" .

Does anyone know where this code refers to and how I can prevent that from occuring?

I think it has to do something with older formats of 3D models, but I cannot lay a finger on it.

Any reason you don't want to tell us how exactly you triggered that (detailed step by step), more about your exact AutoCAD version as listed in ABOUT command, what your OS is, and a sample DWG file that crashes for you so we can all try it?

All of that makes or a better remote help experience for you in user forums like these.

TIA

Autocad version R.154.0.0  2021.1.1

The model consists of hundreds of xref's of 3D models and 2D drawings.

The file does not crash, I only get the readings of modeling errors everytime I am opening this file.

I often get questions about it and for me it is annoying.

Someone would become furious if I shared this file with everyone.

I have invested  some time in it.

There where some issues with this file.

In the past I sometimes mirrored a Xref'ed 3D model. This was still present in this file, after removing these I found at the 75015 errors where decreasing.

I also found out that there is an issue with a nested 3Dmodel, after auditing some "AECSolid" was removed from the drawing.

Is there no reference list with descriptions that links to an specific error code?

One or more of your 100s of xref model content is the problem as you observed: the error message appears to be not well documented. you'll have to continue to RECOVER then test each and every file that is XREFed separately.
Are you using 3D solid models created in versions prior to AutoCAD 2018? Another possible cause in addition to your discovery of AECSolid or ProxyObjects from other variants of AutoCAD.

Good luck.

As I understand that in the past, first in 2007 and later, especially around the release of Autocad 2019, the build up of 3D models in Autocad has changed.

That's why some old files gives readings of an "AEC Solid", but when they are removed the model doesn't change.

So I think it is just the way the model is build up what is changed?

About proxy objects - as I understand these are entities which can appear in a different ways, also called "zombies".

I have the Chanteau Zombie Killer installed, to find and remove them.

I sometimes use the Solidedit "clean Solid" option in Autocad but I have not yet found out where it really is of any good purpose to update 3D models.
