Model vs Layout space dims

Can someone please help by suggesting the reason why my dimensions are tiny yet correct at 900mm in model space but correctly sized but scaled via the viewport (1:25mm) in the Layout (Paper) space?

Hi,

sounds you are using annotation feature (check your dim property "Annotation").

In model tab, change current scale to 1:50 for example.

See Statusbar, or CANNOSCALE setting.

Hi Betreff, I'm using Standard dims and adding them only in the Layout view as advised. I can't change the CANNOSCALE from 1:1 for some reason also...900mm still showing as 1/25 of the actual value (36)

Hi Subject,

- I'm using Standard dims

What are standard dims? (You don't need to answer, I just pointing to "there is no standard")

- and adding them only in the Layout

How can you see layout dimension in Modelspace? It's impossible.

- I can't change the CANNOSCALE from 1:1 for some reason

Because you can't change the cannoscale of paperspace,

I talked about MODEL TAB because if you see dims in model, we are talking about model tab content.

I missunderstood your case before. Your issue is about the dimtext only.

- also...900mm still showing as 1/25 of the actual value (36)

If dims are in paperspace, delete the old,

make sure dimassoc is set to 2

make sure you are using object snaps

(and make sure your dimstyle is set well)

Feel free to share a sample .dwg, this way it is much easier to help you
