Model space rotating 90° when switching to and from layout space

Every time I switch from my model space to a layout or from layout to model space, information from an x-ref rotates 90°, while lines that I have drawn in stay in the same point they were before. Not sure what other information to provide here because I have no idea what could be causing this issue. I posted a screencast below showing the issue.

Hi,

open your xref (s) drawing and use AUDIT and Purge ( Regapps ) commands , then the same to the other srwing and see if any changes .

I attempted that and then CAD crashed. I then opened the recover version and when I select all  no X-ref edit option shows up, but I'm still having the rotate problem.

First make sure viewport is unlocked and the ucs is in the correct World orientation in the viewport. If not go to Tools and pick new UCS. Pick the z option and type either 90 or -90 (degrees) depending on which way you want it to rotate. From the view drop down, select 3D Views then plan view,  then current UCS. that should solve it. If it rotates the wrong way there is always U enter.

CHECK IF THE MODEL IS IN ROTATED TO 90 DEGREE OR IN SAME POSITION AS THE LAYOUT.
