Missing or lost data - any ideas where it may have gone to?

Hi,

I opened my drawing this morning and worked on it without being aware of any problems, for about 2.5hrs. As far I know the drawing was auto-saving as normal, every 3 minutes. I then experienced a graphics issue, something that I have and deal with without problem about three times a day, which necessitated me to Qsave the drawing and then exit CAD fully.

However, when I reopened the drawing, correct save time, only half of it was present. The previous back up ditto. I then checked all of the autosaves of which there was about nine and all were the same. In fact, all the way back to approx 1 hr after initially opening this morning. In other words I have lost the last 1.5hrs of my work.

I have searched everywhere and cannot find the drawing. It appears that all of my work for the past 1.5hrs has never existed yet obviously, it was there on the screen as I was working on it. Also, all of my saves over that time are there. Just not the data.

Any ideas, anyone? Firstly where I may find the file / data and secondly, what on earth could have caused this issue?

Unfortunately, because I have saved and exited CAD, the command history has been deleted. Is there a way to have this not deleted automatically upon exit?

Many thanks in advance.

I have had things 'disappear' when they were actually in the drawing but not visible.

Id check a couple places and make sure all your layers are visible, make sure your annotation scales are correct and run UNISOLATE. Also if you were drawing in a viewport when you thought you were in model space this might be a place to look.

In my case I had a font issue with bigtext. The solution to it was to select all and grab the invisible elements and then change the text style in the properties.
