missing everything - tabs, menus, ribbon

Hi Im going crazy. I have AutoCad 2016 and the interface i have is of an old version. I have never had Autocad on this iMac before so am completely baffled how to get the new interface, i.e. the one with the 'A' logo in the top left corner, the ribbon with menus etc. I have searched various forums and tried everything.

Type 'Ribbon' doesn't work. Nothing happens.

Tried 'CUI' an old box pop up with no ACAD option.

Tried 'menubar' - its an invalid command

Im going crazy. help anyone?

If you are using AutoCAD for mac, it has an entirely different UI than AutoCAD.  What you see is what you get.

I didn't think about it being a mac issue. Thank you for clarifying. I wasted hours trying to figure it out.
