Migrating settings HELP - No Hatch Patterns

Hello,

We have updated to Autocad 2020 and  I migrated my setting from 2017. Everything went well except I don't have the Hatch Pattern selection box. It's blank. I reset back to the default settings and it returned. When I do that I lose all the toolbars that I migrated and cannot seem to locate the toolbars on ver. 2020. If anyone can let me know either how to get the hatch patterns to work OR show me how to get the toolbars back I would be grateful. (I prefer to solve the missing hatching patterns)

I have tried updating the acad.pat file and made sure the options menu is pointing me to the support folder from reading through the forum.

I have attached screen shots of the hatch patterns in the cui to show they are not shown and another shot of the toolbars in question.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

make sure that your Menubar= 1 , then from Tools tab select Toolbars to get back what you need .

Command: MENUBAR
Enter new value for MENUBAR <1>:

Then restart your AutoCAD and tell us again what happened for your both issue ?

Regards,

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. The menubar was already set at 1 but I reset it to 1 and restarted acad and no change. Also, my toolbars menu is not under the tools tab. I cannot locate toolbars anywhere. Am I'm missing something?

This happened to me when trying to migrate settings from 2017 to 2018... I ended up just exporting my system variables and tool pallets. Did a clean install without migrating settings and all was well... minus the 1 hour it took me to set my system up again.

I have tried that also. The problem I ran into was that I couldn't locate the toolbars (which I def. need) anywhere on the system. The only thing I can think of is that they have carried over from several versions ago. If someone could show me how to retrieve the toolbars, I would just reset to the default and import/locate the toolbars and be done with it. The toolbars are the dropdown for: Color control, Linetype control, Lineweight control, Text style control, Dim Style control, Table Style Control, Quick Find Text. I have the picture of them on my first post. Thanks again

I see the -toolbar command gives me the option to list (show) all of the toolbars. I will try that and go through them one by one tomorrow. I will report back when I'm finished.  I'm hopeful that I will be able to get close to what I want.

Thanks

OK, this is what I did to get back to where I want to be. I reset settings to default (2020). I then created all of the custom commands and panels and moved them to where I am used to their locations. I did manage to locate the pull down menus I need in the CUI-toolbar control elements (in the command list). This took me a few hours but I think it's close to where I was in 2017.

I never did figure out how to import/find/show the hatching patterns box (in the 2017 migration) other than in quick properties, which isn't the best way due to the increased "mouse-clicks". I'm not going to worry about it at this point.

Thank you for all of your help. I was able to take a little from all of your comments to find a reasonable solution. The other stations in my department didn't have any problems so I guess I'm cursed on this one.

Thanks again
