Middle button as a Snap Menu

Middle button as a Snap Menu

There has been lots on information on how to turn the middle scroll wheel as pan. I use the middle button for a snap menu instead. I despise the middle button as a pan option. Anyhow, Mbuttonpan is set to 0, I have exhausted all efforts to try to get my snap menus back as my middle button. How do I get my middle button snap menu back. I have been using the snap button menu for the last 15 years, so learning to use the pan function does not work for me.

Thanks

Can't go back a decade ago, hold the shift key or Ctrl key down and middle button that's all you get.

I had a computer upgrade in the last couple of weeks, The CUI file has been changed. I am still running the same version, just on a different machine. It worked 3 weeks ago it should still work. While I appreciate the sarcasm, the problem remains in the CUI changes. Shift-click does nothing either.

There is a setting called RESET to Default, have you tried to use that option?

Yes I have, Right now if I push the middle button, the Aperture & Cross hair go off when I hold the button down, they come back when I depress it.

When I change MButtonPan to 0, I get the shortcut menu. Tested in MEP 2020 and LT 2020. Maybe it's a mouse setting.

BTW, pushing the button and depressing it are the same thing.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

The mbuttonpan is set to 0, that's whats so confusing about it. It's not a mouse setting either, tried that one.

The behavior you want is default when MButtonPan is turned off. Since you reset to default settings, I am leaning towards your new hardware.

Are you running any vertical products?

Do you get any menus when you right click?

I will be re installing the version and will remake all my custom settings hoping it will reset back to the default settings in Cad.

I wouldn't go all nuclear, yet, but that's up to you.

I did ask a couple questions that might reveal what the problem is. Would you care to answer them?

I have reinstalled 2020 and it works fine now, when it was initially installed the settings were migrated over from 2017. The middle button now has the snap menu.
