Material Library Edits

When a make a copy of a material library item (siding) and use the materials editor to change the color the materials do not change from the original color.  What can I do to update 5the colors?

The color of these objects is overridden by the texture-mapping.

You might change the image fading so the texture does not override 100% and so the base color can come through the image.

Thanks for the info.  

When I adjust the fade it makes no difference to color unless I fade to 0.  But in doings so the textures are 100% gone and it is just looks like a solid color… not very desirable. 

With Materials & texture is ON the original color of the material remains the same regardless of what color I give to it... TRUE, RBG, etc..  There's got to be an easier way to assign a desired color to a material.

You can see in my screenshot that I don't have the fading set to 0 ... but the blue part is visible in the material sample.

If that is different in your situation then it might be necessary to upload your drawing with that material-setting so we can see exactly what you have set.

An additional question: what AutoCAD version (and servicepack) are you running?

I am using Autocad 2013 service pack 1

Please see my attachment showing a screenshot of my situation.  

Material sample shows brown and my RGB color should be in blue tones, not brown...

Hi,

as long as Image Fade is 100% then it will only show the image color, you have to lower the value for fading to mix the colors.

What I'm more wondering is that your image looks white on your screenshots ;(

Can you upload the drawing? Delete most of your geometry, leave just a few faces with that material.
