Make Plines thicker

All I'm looking for is an easy way to make my existing polylines thicker, as they are hard to see when zoomed out of my drawing.  If I select a line and change the thickness of a somewhat basic shape I get all these newly generated lines crossing over a bunch of times. What am I doing wrong?

Are you confusing thickness with width?  Thickness is "up off the page" into the Z direction, and can be applied to Lines as well as Polylines and lots of other entity types.  Width for Polylines [not applicable to Lines or other things, not even 3D Polylines] is what would make them easier to see when Zoomed out.

Hi,

you can get your polylines thicker and visually as i understand from your post by using Lineweight  from Layer command line.when you add and change lineweight and LWDISPLAY is ON you will get what you ask for.

Yes, I was confused with the wording.  I'm trying to get my polylines to have more width
