Make pen color not plot

In the plot style table; Is it possible to make a pen color not plot.?

I tried changing the screening to 0 but this made the color plot white.

I would normally set a layer to no plot, but I am using civil 3d object and it would be easier to work with if just a color could not plot.

Thank you,

Civil 3d 2016

How do you plot "white" on white paper?

Whatever case that is, I suppose color 255,255,255 isn't going to work any better?

RGB color 255,255,255 is equivalent to no-ink: on white paper, it's what you want. Unless your printer/plotter comes with white ink of course.

Unless you're printing that color on top of some other color. Then is will "print" white.

So what is the reason for just not using a no-plot layer?

I am using civil 3d projected objects: I do not want to plot the plan object but I do want to plot the profile view object. I used civil 3d styles to put the plan on one layer and the profile on another hoping one would be plottable and one no plot. But this does not work if the plan layer is frozen or no plot the profile will not plot. Its acting like the projected object is a label so the label does not plot if what its “labeling is not plotted”

It is workable by freezing the plan layer in each viewport and not in the profile viewport.  I was just looking for an easier way to just have this work without going thru lots of viewports and freezing.  Thanks.

User asked about pen color, so I assumed white on white: didn't realize they are just afraid to set a layer to noplot instead of messing with a layout's pagesetup instead.
