lost mouse middle button AutoCAD 2014

lost the functionality of my middle button. Now it just acts like the right/enter mouse button. unable to zoom extents or use it for panning. just a basic Hp optical mouse. any ideas? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse drivers.

I should have stated the MBUTTON is set to "1"

as far as setting the mouse up as an Autodesk Intelli Mouse? I'm not sure what you mean by that. My mouse was working just fine and AutoCAD is setup to use the current pointing device just as everyone elses in my department. Mine just satarted NOT working one day.

In the driver of the mouse, are you able to change the Middle Button from Scroll to Middle? It could be configured wrongly which is stopping you get the functionality you require.

There is no settings for the middle button.

changed the mouse out and it works.
