Could be self intersecting, let's see your .dwg in 2007 version.

Hi @FHull,

Thank you for posting. I don't see a ScreenCast, but can share that most lofting errors are related to intersecting surfaces or an incomplete path for surface to be lofted.  Sometimes it is necessary to zoom in very close on the path to see both.

Hi Cheryl.

Sorry about the screencast - I don't know what happened with that. I did however record a new one because snaps were used accurately and I wanted to show you the result.

On zooming, the snaps don't appear to be accurate but as you'll see - the loft completes successfully in one case, but not the other. Secondly, as I hover the cursor over one of the "disconnected" arc/splice conjunctions you'll see a ghostly duplicate appear/disappear. The working loft is mine and the one that does not work has been copied from a student. A few other students are also experiencing the same problem. As we are all working from home we have a quite a variety of hardware configurations.

I'll attach the .dwg file used in the screencast as well (2007 format) as requested by "Patchy".

The reason it can't LOFT because the guides don't touch the boundary of the spoon.

Sorry folks - the student had performed the mirror of the spline incorrectly.

I'm still concerned an about the OSNAPs though - and the "ghosted" highlighted selections.

Hello all

I still have one problem. When I am trying to use red line in the attached file as a "Guide" I just face an error code and not able to fit the surface to red line. Right now, I lofted 3 selected surfaces to make the bowl but need to expand the bowl to red line. Can you please let me know why "Guide" command in loft is not working? I appreciate your time and expertise.
